Care & Use Instructions
At avaler silicone molds, we want your creative journey to be as smooth and long-lasting as possible. Our molds are handcrafted from high-quality, food-grade silicone. With the right care, they will serve you for years to come.
1. Before First Use
Before using your new mold for the first time, wash it with warm water and mild dish soap to remove any microscopic dust from the manufacturing process. Dry it thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or let it air dry.
2. Cleaning Your Mold
· Hand Wash Only: Always wash your molds by hand.
· Gentle Soap: Use mild dish soap and warm water.
· Avoid Abrasives: Never use abrasive sponges, steel wool, or harsh chemicals. These can scratch the high-gloss interior of the mold and affect the finish of your creations.
· Stubborn Residue: If you have bits of fondant or chocolate left behind, soak the mold in warm soapy water for 5-10 minutes before gently wiping it away.
3. Temperature & Material Safety
· High Temperature Resistance: The silicone used for our molds is stable at temperatures up to 230°C (446°F).
· Freezer Safe: These molds are suitable for use in the freezer.
· Avoid Direct Heat: Do not place the mold on a direct heat source, such as a stovetop, grill, or open flame.
· Sharp Objects: Do not use knives or sharp metal tools inside the mold, as they may puncture or tear the silicone surface.
4. Storage Tips
· Stay Flat: Store your molds flat on a level surface. Stacking them or storing them in a way that folds or bends the silicone can cause permanent deformation over time.
· Dust Protection: Silicone naturally attracts dust. Store your molds in a clean container, a sealed bag, or the original packaging to keep the interior pristine.
· Avoid Sunlight: Keep your molds away from direct sunlight and UV light, which can degrade the silicone over long periods.
