Silicone Mold Care & Use Instructions

At avaler Molds, we want your silicone molds to stay in excellent condition for years to come. Our molds are handcrafted from high-quality, food-grade silicone. With the right care, they will serve you for years to come.

1. Before first use
Before using your new mold for the first time, wash it with warm water and mild dish soap to remove any microscopic dust from the manufacturing process. Dry it thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or allow it to air dry.

2. Cleaning your mold
Hand wash only: Always wash your molds by hand.
Use gentle soap: Clean with mild dish soap and warm water.
Avoid abrasives: Never use abrasive sponges, steel wool, or harsh chemicals. These may scratch the high-gloss interior of the mold and affect the finish of your creations.
For stubborn residue: If bits of fondant or chocolate remain, soak the mold in warm soapy water for 5–10 minutes before gently wiping it clean.

3. Temperature and material safety
Heat resistant: Our silicone molds are stable at temperatures up to 230°C (446°F).
Freezer safe: These molds are suitable for freezer use.
Avoid direct heat: Do not place the mold on a direct heat source such as a stovetop, grill, or open flame.
Avoid sharp tools: Do not use knives or sharp metal tools inside the mold, as they may puncture or tear the silicone surface.

4. Storage tips
Store flat: Keep your molds flat on a level surface. Folding, bending, or stacking them in a way that distorts their shape may cause permanent deformation over time.
Protect from dust: Silicone naturally attracts dust. Store your molds in a clean container, sealed bag, or their original packaging to keep the interior clean.
Keep away from sunlight: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or UV light, which may degrade the silicone over time.
